The British Standard 7858:2006 sets out recommendations for the security screening of individuals who are to be employed in an environment, where the security and safety of people, goods or property is a requirement of the employing organisation's operations, or where such security screening is in the public's interest.

Security Screening Vetting Officer
This course will ensure that you have a clear understanding of the responsibilities required and cover's the importance of effective vetting and screening of employees to BS standards.
The course is suitable for anyone who wishes to carry out the work of a Security Screening Vetting Officer. All existing Vetting officers are required to update their knowledge in order to ensure that they are compliant with the new standards.
The security screening course covers the following;
- The importance of screening employees.
- BS7858:2006 - what the requirements are.
- How to obtain the data needed for accurate screening.
- The relevant requirements of the Data Protection Act.
- Accurate record keeping, documentation and procedures.
Achievements
Upon successful completion of the examination, delegates will be awarded a BS7858:2006 Security Screening Certificate.
