ILM Approved Award in First Line Management
The award aims to give practising or potential first line managers the foundation for their formal development in this role. The qualification does this by developing basic management skills and assisting participants in gaining the basic knowledge required at this level.
First Line Management Course Information
Training Course Cost: £650 + VAT
Duration: 5 Day Programme
Assessment: Work based assignments and Reflective Reviews.
Accredited: ILM
First Line Management Course Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements, but participants will:
- normally be either practising or aspiring first line managers with the opportunity to meetthe assessment demands, and
- have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme -which is likelyto be Level 2 Key Skills Literacy and Numeracy or their equivalent
- Centres may provide support to intending learners who do not have this level of literacy and numeracy.
- Learners who are sponsored by their employers and those without such sponsorship are equally eligible.
Course delivery
The course can be tailored to meet organisational requirements and is delivered at our Glasgow Centre or, if
preferred, at your own company premises.
Programme Outline
The programme includes an induction session, tutorials and the delivery of the following 3 units (NB: For courses being held at company premises the 'optional' units (see list below) can be changed to suit organisational requirements so long as the required minimum number of credits are achieved):
M3.01 - Solving problems and making decisions
M3.02 - Understanding change in the workplace
M3.03 - Planning change in the workplace
